About Course

The Evolution: from Graduate Student to Clinical Practicum Intern

Turn learning into action as you prepare for your school-based placement.

Discover the fundamentals of stepping into your role as a school-based Speech Pathology intern. The Evolution program is specifically designed for graduate students in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology who are about to begin their first or second clinical practicum placement in a school setting.

Start here as you begin your experiences in the school-based setting. You’ll learn the expectations, develop systematic processes, learn the fundamentals of providing therapy, and organize your day-to-day workflow.

What You Will Learn?

  • Build workflows that actually work in school settings
  • Collect data under more nuanced language targets
  • Write goals and approach assessments the right way
  • Communicate professionally and show up prepared
  • Understand therapy structure, expectations, and unwritten rules

Material Includes

  • Our participants leave our program with clear expectations for clinical norms and professional conduct, along with a stronger understanding of organizational systems, therapy workflow, and documentation.
  • You’ll gain confidence in data collection, assessments, and goal writing, and experience reduced stress through greater clarity, structure, and preparation.
